FREE Redshift Sponge Shader (customizable) from Virtuallyvisual
Want to make beautiful spongy things in Cinema 4D? Now’s your chance!
Build you own beautiful textures with my Sponge Shader! With this, you can customize:
- sponge type (6 different sponge surfaces are provided)
- colors (powered by a ramp for endless possibilities)
- scale
- subsurface
- displacement amounts
The textures are my own prompting creations from Midjourney, so expect that these will be unlike any other textures out there, and also seamless! That being said, feel free to edit the image textures in photoshop (or the free online photopea site) if you want to adjust anything or tweak how those look. Creative freedom is at your fingertips.
As always – I appreciate if you want to tell others about the shader, or share this at all – because it helps get others started with crafting their own pieces and exploring materials. I know i’m not alone in spending tons of time trying to find a perfect foam or sponge material, and failing miserably. Or just not finding good free resources.
